In order to keep track of one's overarching thoughts in the clearest way possible, one should write a detailed outline that shows each point to make in sequence and the research sources that support each point. In doing so, he or she can then focus on writing a thesis paragraph by paragraph, concentrating fully on the strength of each point as it occurs. Then, after having written a rough draft, he or she may read through the draft, smoothing out the transitions and adding introductions and conclusions to each chapter. Finally, one should write the introduction and conclusion to the entire thesis, being sure to include a thesis statement in the introduction and a summary of the arguments in the conclusion.
